When we were invited to design a child’s corner in a royal family villa in Ibiza, we didn’t hesitate for a second. It was a chance to create something special!ย
Before we brought in the FUN bed, we started somewhere else entirely โ with space, light, and feeling.
This room in Ibiza was already full of character: Mediterraneanย light, warm air, and a relaxed rhythm that’s very different from a typical city home. Our goal was not to overwrite that atmosphere, but to translate it into a child’s space.
Colour in kidsโ rooms isnโt just decoration โ itโs how we express personality, mood, and creativity.

Inspired by Ibiza: nature as a colour guide.
soft and strong greens
shape of flowers
warm terracotta tones
sunny yellow and orange at the end of the day
We collected images of the island’s nature โ plants, flowers, textures, and light โ and used them to build a colour palette for the room.
Instead of choosing colours from a catalogue, we let the island guide us.
Room planning: building a colourful corner
The family chose the FUN bed in Dusty Rose with a Yellow accent for their girl and her cousin. From the start, we knew this could become a rich, joyful corner full of colour and personality.
Walls and floors are essential in shaping the atmosphere of any room, so we went bold here: a characterful wallpaper paired with a very soft, generous carpet. Accessories โ pillows, bedding and small details โ were also chosen in colour, to make the space playful and inviting.
During the day, the bed becomes a place to hang out, read and relax โ thanks to cushions and textiles. In the evening, it turns into a cosy, safe spot for rest.
More color more fun – don’t be afarid to play!
Here, colour lives around the bed rather than competing with it:
walls and textiles carry the warmth
natural wood keeps the space grounded
accents add personality without taking over
The FUN bed acts as a calm base โ letting the colours express themselves without competition.
ย The FUN Collection brings joy, individuality, and personality into kids’s spaces.
You donโt need a big room or many pieces โ one thoughtful corner can transform an entire room.
The year 2019 is going to end tomorrow. In the spirit of releasing the old and embracing the new, I believe its good to look back through last year and high light the special moments โ not only as a Rafa-kids brand but also as a family.ย
Most of the storage furniture is just a plain box. Boring! Rafa-kids H bookcase is a versatile storage furniture; let’s look at how many things can fit into it!
He is in his pre-teen years, still acting like a boy and not a teenager. I want to create a room that he can grow into in the coming years and most importantly express his personality.ย
