Beautiful linen scarves from summer collection Massimo Dutti

September feels like the start of a new season. Do you notice it too?

Not only because our sons are back to school, and we are at our Rafa-kids studio full time. The weather is changing, and Autumn is slowly in the air.

Season change, and it’s the time to grab the scarves put them around our neck.

I wear linen clothes all year round. Linen strength lies in it’s incredible qualities – it cools during heats and warms in the cold weather. It is a unique material worth all the attention. Flax cultivation doesn’t harm the natural environment, and the fabric itself can be used for years. I thought I would share with you some great brands which make beautiful linen garments with passion. I believe that hand made products are something worth recommending and wearing!

I came across the Seaside Tones brand via Instagram. At first, beautiful pictures caught my attention — linen products with a minimal and modern style.

Anna Rutkowska created Seaside Tones with her husband, Michal, in 2015. They offer unique and high-quality products inspired by the colors of the sea. In 2019 they launched their first boutique in Sydney and a store at Bondi Beach. All beautiful pieces are ethically made in Poland in several small facilities with great traditions and years of experience. The clothes are made of natural fabrics, mostly pure baltic linen.
I’m so inspired to see that last year they changed their packaging to compostable plant-based bags. How cool is that!A little info for us :
“… Did You know what is the difference between “compostable” and “biodegradable”? In short, a biodegradable product simply breaks down into smaller micro-plastics, which still contaminate the environment… Compostable products break down as if they were never there and can also be safely eaten by worms because they are made from plants, not from plastic! …”

The second brand, which also coughs my attention, was Lenispolka.

I was captivated by the natural style, the raw ages of the garments. Natural art clothes with a soul.

All pieces are also ethically made in Krakow, Poland by a small group of women. The owner Paulina is a psychologist, and sewing with women is also a type of therapy. I contacted her and directly noticed she is a warm and kind lady; any of your requests will be heard. How unique is that! I’m a happy owner of this tunic, you can see in the picture. I hope we can support these kinds of small companies more and more. They offer us their passion and something unique to celebrate.
