It’s been a while since our last trade fair in Paris, counting exactly: four years. During all this time Rafa-kids developed a few new products, so when we received an invitation from Kind+Jugend to present new design – we said YES! It’s an international leading trade fair for premium baby and toddler products with more than 1000 exhibitors from 55 countries! Over 24.000 people visit the show. You can imagine how busy these four days were for us!

The significant part of the deal with Kind+Jugend was that we could present our furniture at Design PARK with a few other design brands. The organizers offered us an excellent exhibition spot with a black backdrop to present Rafa-kids news design.

We created a toddler room with Rafa-kids R toddler bed in beautiful natural wood, the B table with benches and of course, the new H wardrobe. Next to it, we had a baby corner with H dresser. Taking into consideration that our space has a strong background of black wall and floor, I had to make it cozier. That’s why we brought carpets, pillows, blankets, and plenty of soft accessories to create more friendly children’s room. I tried my best to build a cute room, but the H wardrobe just stole the show! There was hardly any person who could pass by, without stopping. Visitors were often coming closer, moving the doors and asking questions. It is so great to receive such positive feedback, on a design that we worked on for so long!

We had a chance to meet many new partners, and refresh contacts with stores which we already work for a long time. It’s always good to have a personal talk, give feedback, upgrade this only business-orientated e-mails and phone call communication. My favorite part of joining the Design PARK was meeting the other designers and brands. Not only it’s good to share experience, tips and help each other, but to laugh together!

We like that the Cologne fair is placed very centrally in the city. It was just one stop from the central station! After 8 hours of the show, we could walk into the center and have some quality time. It was easy to find some great dinner spots and to talk about the experience we gain during the day. What a great start of the new season for Rafa-kids!
