Stylish home in Darlinghurst – Australia
I’m always excited to share with you inspiring family homes. Seeing Rafa-kids design in real spaces is one of the best parts of running our family business. Sometimes it’s a bit more special because we have a chance to discover a home decorated by the professional interior stylist. Today it is the case!
This fantastic home belongs to former style editor of Real Living magazine Australia who recently branched out to freelancing. Kerrie – Ann Jones shares the place with husband, music publisher Andrew Jones and their kids Poppy (4) and Ari (2).
I’m fascinated to discover her style through her own house. I think you can see straight away while scrolling the pictures that this home is decorated with a lot of passion.
My favorite part of the house is the open floor plan kitchen and living area. The kitchen must be a blast to use when you’re able to look around and have contact with your family and friends while you are cooking. Plenty of storage and smart build-in fridge under the stairs! I call it an intelligent way to use your space. If you decide to have an open floor plan home, it’s a must. You don’t want to see all the clutter spreading all round, but wish to keep a calm and inviting atmosphere . Especially with two small kids!
What about this large steel-glass windows in a living space – that’s a dream. Unfortunately, we don’t see the outside area, but having a chance to open windows like that connects the space with outside so well. The concrete floor, crispy white walls, and industrial doors – are definitely my favorite combination. Please have a look at our new home @rafa-interiors on Instagram so you understand what I’m talking about. Kerrie – Ann Jones filled her home with plenty of personal elements. The contemporary art wall collection gives character to this strong base. Look at the beautiful vases, small sculpture, and little objects she collects and creates a sort of mood boards, which make this place very own.
And of course, seeing our Rafa-kids XL shelf in such a beautiful home is a great compliment. The reading corner in one of the children’s room looks very stylish and is matching so well with the atmosphere of the entire house.
