I want to show you that we don’t need to sacrifice our love for decorating and style after having kids. We can still have a stylish home with kids around.

We were travelling to Leiden to see the beautiful home of Wiola and Greg, their two kids, five cats, and a dog! I also chatted with Olja Ryzevski about her stylish and modern home.

I’m excited to see family living in Park Slope Brownstone in Brooklyn today. 

Welcome into this cosy and modern family home, renovated in 2019 in Park Slope, Brooklyn. I spotted this lovely family in this article in Architectural Digest.  Who lives here? Amy and her husband, Gareth, and their two kids: Hunter, on the pictures seven years old and Bowen is five.  It’s a creative duo home, as Amy is the cofounder and creative director of Team, a strategic branding and design studio. Gareth works in creative consulting and is cofounder of the Rise Group.

Amy and her husband rented tiny apartments in nearly every neighbourhood in the city before buying their first home: a two-bedroom in the building Ansonia Court. When their family started growing, they needed a larger home to suit their needs. Their brownstone was a lucky discovery made by Amy’s dedication and passion.

This lovely four-story brownstone, two blocks away from Prospect Park and down the street from their daughter Hunter’s school, at a price they could actually afford. The home was fully transformed to create this modern and fresh interior for the family. Only original details include a set of stained-glass windows in the front of the house and a single white inner entrance door.

This family home is minimal, which I believe makes them appreciate the space they have even more. After years of living in smaller spaces, Amy and Gareth are relaxing in their dream home. It’s a place where their kids can—and do—run around, both inside and outside.

” Furniture by Rafa-kids makes for kids’ bedrooms that are beautiful but still feel like kids’ bedrooms.”

We love this sunny and elegant kids’ room with the Rafa-kids F bunk bed and A75 teen bed. The B bench is used as a side table next to the bed. This bed set is a great solution for a not-so-big room because it is compact but it’s still very comfortable.
