Do you wonder when it happened that your little baby started walking and then running around?

Home becomes his/her playground, and discovering each corner is the best fun to do. Insides shelves and cupboards are the best everyday toddlers’ toys! Well, maybe it’s time to think of arranging a successful toddler room. A well-created nursery to toddler room transition is one that allows your child independence to grow. Toddlers are often fearless, so think about giving your child space where they can be secure and comfortable to play. Then take a deep breath and enjoy it! This time of life doesn’t last long!

How to start?
First, divide the room into three essential zones for your toddler: Sleeping, Playing, and Dressing.
Recognizing these three zones are going to help you not only wile decorating but also understanding toddler activities.

One> sleeping corner.

The bed is probably the most significant element in your child’s room. I believe one of the most important at this stage of life. Converting your crib into a toddler bed is a big step; we prepared a great PDF with all the tips to help, which you can download HERE 

 When placing furniture in a room, start with the larger pieces first and then the smaller ones. If you have a crib that can be transformed into a toddler bed, the change will probably not be that big.

Toddlers like to play on the floor!

Make as much floor space as possible for your little explorer. You probably noticed the amount of toys entering the house at this stage. It’s time to organize and store them. Do you have a freestanding changing table or commode used in the nursery room? Now would be the perfect time to repurpose it into a toy storage. All the essentials and baby cosmetics need to be relocated out of reach of your curious toddler. 

Maybe some low shelving and baskets for toys can be an excellent option to consider. The more access your child has to toys, the more independently they can play.

Three > dressing 

Toddlers are proud of everything they can do on their own.

Think about it while organizing their wardrobe. Perfect would be keeping it accessible. They like to play not only with toys, putting clothes on and out can be a great way to learn independence. H wardrobe is lower than standard ones offered on the market; it’s designed to be reached by small hands. If you will look for a new wardrobe, check if the drawers have a slow closing, we don’t want anyone to be hurt!

Suitable quality materials are also essential. The stable and durable wardrobe is what you will be happy to have. Organize it simply, so your toddler knows where to find what. We use drawers for underwear, socks, and sports garments. The t-shirts and pants have a separate place. I like to prepare the next day outfit each evening — no more unnecessary morning discussions. 

Please keep in mind that your child is growing fast. Try to keep the style of the room timeless.

Children at this age change their minds and interests quickly.

It’s just impossible to keep up with that. But it is always a good idea to teach good esthetics from an early age.
