Room tour – Siblings sharing a bedroom
It’s a second week since our family is on home quarantine. Our sons follow the home school rules, and we try to keep working from home. This is the reality of many families around the world at the moment. How do you cope with it? It’s not that easy, I would say.
In addition to a home routine, we found time for many other activities. Like finally painting walls and organizing storage in the kid’s rooms! I will make a separate post about it very soon as it came out so great!
I’m glad to see that we are not the only ones who rearrange children’s rooms at this particular time. This beautiful room belongs to brothers: Gabriel, who is nine, and Adam five. The family of 5 lives in Berlin. Their mom Victoria is such a creative spirit, and I got the pleasure of doing a small interview with her here: Victoria mom of three from Berlin.
Let’s talk more about the boy’s room. When Siblings Share a Room it is always a challenge to accommodate all their needs. Victoria created a cozy sleeping corner for her boys with Rafa-kids F&A120 bed set, which I find very inspiring.
The F bunk bed from Rafa-kids was previously used in their sister’s room. I made a separate blog post about the Modern Girl room here. It seems that space was a bit too tinny for the bed, and Victoria decided to move it to a larger place. In Berlin, you can often see old apartments with this fantastic high ceilings.
The larger space allowed adding a second bed in this room. Victoria chose the widest bed from our collection A120 teen bed. Both beds are 200cm long, which means her boys can use it for many years to come.
Do you know that the lower bed is 120cm wide and that parents can comfortably sleep with a child if needed? It’s also useful when you have guests! This bed set does not take up much space, but it gives children very comfortable sleeping.
What do you think about the color selections made by Victoria? The delicate Grey Walls give such a calming effect to the space; even the wooden floor is a strong accent. She decided to go for white furniture, which refreshes the area and ensures a modern look. If you would go for wood furniture when you have a wooden floor, I think it could look a bit old fashion. The warm colors of mustard and beige blend beautifully with the whole room. Well done!
